Rozalka and the Fox

Once on a beautiful, sunny Sunday I went with Rozalka for lovely walk to the forest, hoping to pick some mushrooms.

We were walking carefree around forest, when suddenly we heard quiet sobbing.
Rozalka has a kind heart, when she knows that some one needs help or suffers she always rushes to help. So no surprise that Rozalka dropped her basket and she rushed as quickly as possible to direction of the sad sound.
To our surprise we discovered that the cries belonged to a little, trembling from cold, fox.
I saw Rozalka hiding behind the tree, wondering what she is going to do?
Is she going to run? Because fox is a wild animal.

Maybe somewhere near is the fox's mummy, waiting to rush to the rescue? Unfortunately the fox was alone, maybe he got lost, but we didn't knew that for sure.
But Rozalka was convinced that we need to help him, so not thinking much she sat on the ground and picked the fox up, covering him with her scarf. Fox was trembling for just a moment or two, I'm not sure if that was because the cold or that he was frightened.
Rozalka sang him a song and whispered something to his ear.

I said to Rozalka that is time for us to go because I had noticed a ginger tail behind the trees.
Fox joined his mummy. We stood and looked how Fox and his mummy walked away happy that they were together again.
Rozalka sobbed, silly little one thought that maybe Fox would stay with us and we could be his new family.
-Darling - I said- Fox belongs in the forest, he is not a pet, and besides he would be missing his mummy and as you can see she was looking for him!

Because of this whole story we haven't noticed that suddenly the wind start blowing very hard.
Maybe it was the wind, or maybe Fox's mummy or maybe the forest fairies made the symbol of Fox's face appear on Rozalka's bag as token of our Sunday adventure. Rozalka cheered up up straight away!
We sat there for few more minutes and thinking about where our Fox's family went to?
A bit chilled but very happy we went back home.
